Element: Prepare to plant permaculture crops
  • Confirm work requirements with supervisor
  • Select and prepare tools and equipment
  • Identify plant materials to be planted
  • Identify safety hazards and implement controls according to workplace procedures
  • Select, use and maintain personal protective equipment
       
Element: Prepare the site for planting
  • Tend to residual material on site according to permaculture planting plan
  • Apply soil treatments or amendments according to supervisor instructions
  • Implement plant protection strategy according to instructions
  • Mark out planting pattern according to permaculture planting plan
       
Element: Carry out planting operations
  • Select planting material according to plan
  • Maintain viability of planting material
  • Handle and transport planting material to site
  • Carry out planting according to permaculture planting plan

Assessment Tasks
